How we got started

We started off with our first Himalayan around 1995.  My husband bought my first cat for me because I had always wanted a Himalayan.  Then we decided to breed not really knowing a lot at the time.  Missy our first cat unfortunately had problems with breeding but we kept a kitten to start our cattery with. Missy is now in retirement and living outside of Somerset. Princess was the kitten we kept. We bottlefed her from birth and she was our baby. She gave us many kittens. Princess developed a medical problem so she has retired and is now living in a wonderful pet home where she's getting the treatment she needs. As time went on and I discovered different colors, I just had to add on to my cat family and we expanded into doing bi-color Persians. Then we learned that breeding is all about improving the standard and showing so starting in 2003 we started developing our program in that direction.   We have tried to get some nice lines for our program and we show as much as we can.  Now in 2014 we are cutting out the Himalayans and will most likely just do bi-colors.

Why Choose Our Cattery

I realize as you are looking at my cattery you are also looking at many others. I am a stay-at-home mom of two kids and several cats and kittens. Our cats are treated like our family and given lots of love and attention.   We raise them in our house not in a shed or building out back.  They are given lots of love and attention.  They are socialized from birth.  Starting at 8 weeks I start getting them used to be being bathed and groomed weekly.   I am dedicated to finding the best homes for my kittens so please understand if I ask you a lot of questions.  I take my email about anywhere with me so you will most likely get a reply back from me almost instantly.  If you haven't heard back please try again or check your spam folder.  I try to update the pics weekly or at least every other week. If you're just a new pet owner I will do everything I can to assist you with information to the best of my knowledge in caring for your new kitten and will be available long after the sale. If you're looking to start a new cattery or start showing I'd be glad to assist you the best I can. And if you are an existing cattery then hopefully I have what you are looking for to add to your program. I encourage new owners to keep in touch and to send me pics which I place in the photo gallery. So I hope you'll choose my cattery for your next new member of your family or breeding program.

Pricing and other Info

We are a CFA registered cattery. We are also a Felv/Fiv tested cattery.  On Jan 27, 2021 we newly retested our cattery.   We are also a PKD DNA tested negative cattery. Our kittens are sold with a health guarantee and contract.   Kittens sold as pets do come with papers. Breeders of course come with papers including the pin #. Pricing on pet kittens are usually 600 and breeders will depend on quality but will be between 1200-1500.  Breeder/show kittens price will vary on quality and pedigree but you're looking between 1500-2000. I do accept NONREFUNDABLE deposits of 100 to hold pet kittens until they're ready to go to their new homes between 10-12 weeks of age.  Show kittens are often held longer to determine quality and amount of deposit will be determined later.

Please understand that this is just a hobby.  I don't make a profit off of this.  There is a lot of expense including vet expenses that goes into the care of a cattery.  If you add up all the litter, cat and kitten food, electric bill to run the air purifiers and dehumidifier, etc, water bill to bathe them, vaccinations, vet bills, and medications, and all other small expenses too numereous to mention.   That doesn't mention all the expense that goes into showing (hotels, gas, entry fees).  I do this for the fun of breeding and showing cats.  Please keep it fun for me.  If you can't understand and can't afford my pricing please don't waste my time or yours.

Also please understand that this is a hobby and I do breed with intention of improving the breed and to produce beautiful show cats.  Since that is my first priority that does come first.  Unfortunately not every kitten born is a show kitten and not every kitten born can be kept.  These extra kittens are the ones you see that I put up for sale to pet homes and I look for the best home possible.  I do reserve the right to refuse sales to anyone for any reason.

It's getting harder to find airlines to ship Persian kittens because of the snub noses.  It is possible to maybe use a courier service.  You are welcome to check into that.   I also do deliveries for a gas fee. I'm willing to meet halfway as long as I can make the trip in one day though I'd be willing to go farther if you paid all expenses (such as my hotel room and food for my family). I attempt to place as many kittens as I can in one area so that everyone can just split the expenses.  One of my most common spots in Asheville, NC.  Also I can work out meeting you when I travel to shows.  So if you live in Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, there's a chance I might be coming to a show near you.    I do most of my delivery on Sat or Sun though I am a bit more flexible on that than I used to be since my kids are grown.
